Time has a new meaning now.
Time used to race by.
The days felt longer than the to-do list.
Today I wondered if the to-do list would last longer enough.
Time is teaching us in the stuck.
Its teaching us to love.
Its teaching us to push through.
Its teaching us to rest.
Its teaching us to be aware.
Its teaching us to be grateful.
Its teaching us to be kinder.
Its teaching us to create memories.
Its teaching us to appreciate the simple.
— Marie Racheal Martin
I want to start my musing with this witty narrative of Marie Racheal Martin. My stance on this global pandemic is that this is the most crucial and disturbing time that we, as a global community, presently facing.
We all need to understand that this is the situation out of our control. At this time you all need is to take religious acts seriously. The religion, its sacred worships, the sanctified rituals are not a part-time thing to do. Its not something you would do when you’ve tested with such catastrophe of nature.
We are facing this destructive change in a feature of the earth because the masses around the globe had been distanced themselves from what the true essence of life is. We had been refused to obey the divine entity in hundred of ways. When we will see this pandemic through a sociological perspective, it will reveal more afflictions later on as in functional and structural ways. We all must feel sorry about the loss we will incur due to this devastating pandemic.
COVID-19 has taught us so many things. One of the first and constant thing that it has taught us is to Pause and then Reflect. Whether one is struggling with a trivial grief, a major hassle or a global pandemic; we should remember the one universal truth that — the life is but a dream, fleeting and transient.
What we have given in every moment is a wisest course to connect with the highest of powers — the Creator of this Universe. Every breath we take is of His, He always wait for us to come back home through it and to ourselves. We need to feel ourselves through it and awaken the power within us that — Alive-ness. Alive-ness towards the true substance of life.
If we look closely into it, it will make you decipher that the race we were in has now become so miniscule. Its simple. Whatever is afflicted upon us is from Him; which means that the only option we’ve left in this given time is Astaghfar (Repentance) for our misdeeds or moral shortcomings, as whatever is happening with us is because of our own doings or acts.
Whilst being quarantined lets make social media or any of your platforms, an outlet to radiate awakening, awareness, spirituality and positivity.
I’ve always been one to use this platform to regenerate what’s truly important, to crowdsource prayers and goodvibes and here I am again to requesting you all please be aware of the fragility of life. Do consider this pandemic “A Calamity” (Afat).
Ask for forgiveness as much as you can and don’t stop asking Him. Our Lord, our Creator, the King of the heavens and earth is the most forgiving and merciful. As we all have failed as a nation, as an ummah and as an individual beings around the globe. During this quarantine time do open and recite the long forgotten Holy Quran and make this time Quran time.
Whilst seeing all these things stressing me out; I, myself am reciting specific Duas and Surahs which have been helping me out during this time.
This pandemic is a slap in the face for all of us so that we can start to lead more disciplined, contented and grounded lives. If you haven’t figured it out yet then I don’t know what kind of calamity will open your eyes and mind.
So this has to be said and addressed on my platform what feels most important, because then again what’s the point of having a voice if one can’t use it to start discussions that are first and foremost.
Sending so much love, blessings and light to all, EVERYWHERE. May Almighty Allah protect us all from all unforeseen and evils and keep our loved ones healthy and safe from all kinds of diseases.
Amen to this ♡
